We are looking for a full-time Automotive Mechanic to join our team based in Surrey, BC. Reporting to the Lead Service Technician, the Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining service operations by inspecting and repairing vehicles. Equipment: State-of-the-art shop equipment (such as Mobile tower hoists, etc.)

Shop: Very clean shop and State-of-the art LED shop lighting and Mobile tower hoists

Tools: We supply the needed specific and special tools

Training: OEM Bus training opportunities (ex. EV buses)

Hourly (no flat rate): Competitive (qualifications & skills based)

Allowances: Boot & Prescription Safety glass, Yearly allowance

Gym: Onsite training facility for employees with showers

Responsibilities:

· Repairing and maintaining vehicles

· Completing production work which includes PDI of new buses

· Performing Preventative Maintenance and CVI on vehicles

· Running diagnostic tests on customer vehicles

· Verifying vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives

· Adherence to inspection and safety policies procedures

· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (ex. EV bus training)

· Ensuring that the worksite is always clean and safe.

· Be a team player

Education and Experience:

· A Level 3 or 4 apprentice or Red Seal certification Qualification

· Valid driver’s license (Class 2 and asset)

· CVIP license to inspect vehicle classes 4 & 5 – Bus and School Bus (will provide training)

· Excellent active listening, problem solving, and communication skills

· LPG Certificate of Qualification (an asset)

· Ford IDS experience (an asset).

· Cummins Insite experience (an asset).

· Automotive A/C knowledge (an asset)

· Strong attention to detail, good organization skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
