Through our custom treatments, technologies, and services, we will optimize and monitor our client’s systems for performance, cost, and environmental compliance. We are currently seeking a motivated individual for the position of Accounting Clerk.

This individual should have the flexibility to work in a small office while maintaining their role as an Accounting Clerk.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Accounts Receivable

  • Process payments and deposits, cheques, credit cards, and EFTs.
  • Reconcile debtor accounts.
  • Make necessary adjustments and corrections with guidance of Principal.
  • Handle account inquires, discrepancies and ensure payments are processed within stipulated terms.
  • Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and if accounts delinquent forward to management for review
  • Set up new accounts and maintain updated information in Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Accounts Payable

  • Opening daily invoices received from the mail and email and match received P.O.’s to the correct invoice. Enter the invoice into Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Check vendor’s statements at month end to verify receipt of all invoices.
  • Match from our pricing and the vendor’s invoice, and then enter correct pricing into Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Filing paid invoices and creating any new folders with proper labelling.
  • Cheque Runs

General Accounting

  • Work with BDO with reporting and other issues.
  • Manage Month end and Year end processes
  • Ensure invoices and statements are sent out in a timely manner
  • Maintain Inventory Management System

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Great attention to detailed and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new technologies
  • Experience using Dynamics 365 Business Central and Office 365, especially Excel would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Gain and maintain excellent product knowledge.
  • Reliable with an excellent work ethic and attendance

Education & Experience:

  • Post secondary diploma in Office Administration, Bookkeeping, or Accounting an asset.
  • Relevant work experience.
