Moda at Home Enterprises is looking for an Administrative Assistant / Data Entry Associate to provide administrative support for the office and act as reception for our small office team. This is an opportunity for someone to grow and progress within Moda.

We are looking for candidates with strong data entry and customer service skills as well as reception experience. You must be highly organized and detailed oriented capable of entering large data sets accurately. Candidates must have previous customer service experience to be considered for this position!

As the Administrative Assistant / Data Entry Associate you will enter and process orders, assist with receivables, handle billing questions, and take payments if necessary. You must be comfortable overseeing our showroom, creating product listings, navigating and entering information into online portals as well as updating social media / website as necessary. EDI experience is a plus.

You will be interacting regularly with Moda’s customers / sales teams via phone and email; this role requires adaptability and strong people skills to provide courteous respectful service. This role acts as an ambassador for our brand so they must conduct themselves professionally.

Bilingual French/ English is an asset.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 - 4:30

Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone in a prompt & professional manner
  • Transfer incoming calls to appropriate parties or voicemail.
  • Enter and update information in the company database.
  • Be responsible for managing and entering all incoming orders through various means, email, phone online portal edi etc.
  • Data entry and processing as required.
  • Maintain reception area and showroom always keeping a tidy & organized appearance.
  • Assist with sales correspondence.
  • Order office supplies
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Articulate speaking voice in English – French speaking is an asset.
  • Pleasant phone demeanor
  • Punctual / Dependable
  • PC Skills in a Windows-based environment
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Able to interact with different personalities professionally.
  • Display initiative and be able to multi-task.
  • Computer knowledge, i.e., Outlook, Word, and Excel are required
  • Other office tasks as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $35,000.00-$38,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Oshawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
