WHAT'S THE JOB?

Horizon North is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Workforce Logistics Team to support all aspects of the operations. Our Workforce and Logistics Team is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, scheduling and transport of our remote camp workers service sites across northern Ontario and Quebec. The position will be based at our Thunder Bay office with some potential for traveling to remote work sites. The Administrative Support will work alongside an experienced team of Managers and Coordinators to support daily activities. You will support all functions and maintain positive and productive interactions. You are a master multitasker and creative thinker who meets challenges heads on!


Qualifications


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Things you are great at:

  • Employee contact and pre-screening
  • Reference checks and follow-up
  • Preparing and sharing onboarding information and follow-up
  • Preparing and sharing travel information and follow-up
  • Book travel and logistics for projects and employees
  • Competent with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Participating in a Safe Work culture
  • Other administrative duties as required

Required skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
  • Highly organized
  • Resourceful, flexible and adaptable
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines
  • Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision
  • Working knowledge of email, scheduling, spreadsheets and presentation software
  • Functional in Microsoft Office Suite

Work Schedule and Remuneration:

This position is part-time (20-30 hours per week) with potential for more. Wages are paid on an hourly basis at $19/hour to start and evaluated after 3 months.
