The Aggregate Scalehouse Attendant is a key position to support the successful operation of the Skwla̓x te Secwepemcúĺecw (Little Shuswap Lake Band) aggregate business, Skwlax Aggregates, which is being managed and supported by Skwlax Resource Management. The Aggregate Scalehouse Attendant reports to the Aggregates Manager and works closely with the rest of the team of Skwlax Resource Management.

Key Job Duties:

  • Record and log daily records for all aggregate sales and deliveries
  • Enter daily scale tickets, driver service logs and shift reports
  • Enter data into inventory management system for aggregate operations
  • Utilize MS Excel to create and maintain various spreadsheets and reports
  • Transfer and provide documents to appropriate personnel
  • Answering phone system in a polite manner; answering questions, taking aggregate orders or directing callers to the appropriate personnel to help with their needs
  • Take orders proficiently and obtain all necessary information to facilitate a sale and routing this information to the necessary personnel including sales team, operations team, and management
  • Taking payment and/or credit card information and handling sensitive information with care and diligence
  • Maintaining and operating the facilities truck scale to ensure customers are provided the correct material and are loaded within legal limits
  • Providing all trucks that leave the facility accurate scale tickets
  • Receive and check-in any visitors to the site office
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned. These duties may fall out of the scope as described to support the business in whatever capacity deemed required.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years’ experience in an Administrative or Data Entry position
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, week-ends, etc)

Experience

  • Aggregate, Waste management, or related field experience is an asset
  • Experience with aggregate operations and systems (sales, quality, inventory management, dispatch) an asset
  • Strong experience entering a managing detailed systems, spreadsheets, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
