About the Position

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a group of Analytical Technicians
  • Analyzing samples using GC-FID, GC-MS, HPLC (with UV, RID), TOC, and other analytical techniques (titration, UV-Vis, etc.)
  • Maintaining, developing and implementing organizational systems to keep analysis running efficiently with minimal mistakes
  • Leading the maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical instruments
  • Teaching Analytical Technicians about instruments and methods
  • Supporting the growth of the Analytics Department
  • Checking data for correctness and completeness, adhering to the QA/QC policy
  • Oversee the execution of quality evaluations on standard and routine processes, raw materials, and finished products.
  • Supervise the process for identification and reporting of non-conformance to known standards; develop/implement Corrective Action (CA).
  • Evaluate and assist in the development of improved techniques for the control of quality, production, and safety.
  • Prepare quality report and trends.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure all products and process related documentation is current including formulations, finished product specifications, process flow charts, standard operating procedures, etc.
  • Supervise the team to ensure that are focused and proactive to highlight quality issues
  • Organize and coordinate quality team activities/routine
  • Ensure any issues are communicated to the appropriate people in a timely manner.
  • Assist/Perform/Conduct internal audits
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, safety, and other standards.
  • Develop/write and optimize SOPs
  • Maintain good communication between all team members and interdepartmentally
  • To complete tasks in an efficient, timely and productive manner at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Experience:

Have to Have it:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Coursework in general chemistry, organic chemistry, QA/QC, and quantitative analysis, or comparable coursework and/or experience.
  • Excellence in Quality Assurance, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
  • Minimum 3-5 years work experience in a leadership position with demonstrated team building.
  • Training, teaching, and/or mentoring experience
  • Organized, detail oriented, and adaptable to change.
  • Proficient in MS Office, knowledgeable in LIMS and label software systems.
  • Experience setting up new equipment and/or analytical labs.
  • Experience setting up organizational systems.
