We are looking for Android POS Developer to support our business growth in Toronto. This is a full-time position.

How you will contribute:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Work with UI designers, business users and other team members to develop mobile applications
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with the engineering team to design and launch new features.
• Integrate with POS SDKs and switch middleware to process card transactions for the different payment schemes as per the industry standards
• Implement Android NFC for reading card data and process card transactions for the different payments schemes
• Maintain code integrity and organization
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency
• Work closely with graphic designers.
• Understand and implement security and data protection

What you bring to the table:

• At least 3 years proven working experience in Android app development and must have published multiple apps on Android app
• Extensive knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen size
• Experience in Java, Android UI design principles, design patterns and best practices
• Strong knowledge of GlobalPlatform Card Specification
• Understanding of EMV Integrated Circuit Card Specifications for Payment Systems
• Knowledge of EMV CPV tools (Barnes, Collis)
• Understanding of Authentication and Cryptographic and Hashing technologies (RSA/PKI/CRT, 3DES/AES, etc. );
• Proven software development experience and Android skills development with terminal integration
• Proven working experience in Android app development and experience with various terminal SDKs
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, terminal, EMV, payments and emerging technologies
• Practical knowledge about encryption, security enhancement and its methodologies.
• Have skills to dig into challenging technical problems and large/complex code bases without getting stuck in it
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A great collaborator and has professionalism

• Experience working with Android NFC
