We seek an Apprentice Automotive Technician for a full-time permanent position in Leduc, Alberta. As part of our team, you will be required to complete various tasks specific to your position and assist others on the team. You will have the opportunity to learn and be mentored by our senior Journeymen and gain knowledge from a wide range of customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Repair/Maintenance

• Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components for diagnostic of issues
• Perform general automotive repairs, including front-end, engine repair, tune-ups, brake systems, transmission, oil changes, tire installation and rotation
• Recommend and perform scheduled maintenance services
• Review all repairs with Service Advisor and Senior Mechanics before executing repairs
• Assist other team members with repairs/maintenance as required

Customer Experience:

• Provide explanation and diagnosis of repairs needed, when required to do so
• Ensure customer vehicle is kept clean and free from any damages while in our possession
• Take pride and ownership of your repairs and strive to ensure all necessary components are completed to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

General:

• Full-time position, 8 hours a day with an unpaid break/lunch
• Employees must wear appropriate clothing as provided and ensure they are in a presentable condition
• Ensure the work area is kept tidy
• Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements in our ever-changing world

Skills/Qualifications required:

• 2+ years of previous experience in the automotive trade.
• 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice
• Highly organized & strong attention to detail
• Able to take direction and complete tasks as assigned
• Willingness to learn and accept guidance from others
• Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities daily
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to 25 kg.
• Must be available to work full-time, five days a week + overtime when required
• Must possess a valid driver's license and safe driving history.
