We supply gravel, asphalt paving, ready-mix concrete, and offer reliable transportation services in trucking throughout Alberta, including Grande Prairie, Peace River, High Level, and Edmonton.

Our team is looking for a full-time (standard 40-hour work week + overtime), Heavy-Duty Mechanic/Apprentice for our Balzac, Alberta location. Here’s what you can expect when working with us:

Responsibilities

· Heavy-Duty Mechanics with Class 1 are preferred; or 3rd and 4th year Apprentices will be considered

· CVIP and Inspection Certification and experience on trucks and trailers

· Strong leadership and effective communication skills are key assets; ability to speak and write clearly in English a must!

· Knowledge in hydraulics, electrical and pneumatics

· Repair, adjust and/or replace defective components or systems on concrete ready-mix trucks and on- and off-road equipment

· Heavy-Duty Mechanics must wear protective coveralls, steel-toed boots, and safety glass

· Dual ticketed, Heavy-duty mechanics are preferred

· Concrete experience; automotive knowledge; strong trouble-shooting skills; and diagnostic backgrounds are considered assets

· Possess a valid Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract according to company policy

· Willingness to work flexible hours and peak period overtime

· Meet all Safety requirements and policies

· Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
