Architectural Technologist

Responsibilities
· Analyze construction documentation and drawings.
· Review of estimate and quotations prepared by sales department.
· Review of customer purchase order.
· Make note of any discrepancies and address them with sales person.
· Use Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems to prepare drawings.
· Design components and select appropriate hardware to withstand loads.
· Support production throughout the shop assembly process with clarification and required changes to your projects.
· Prepare detailed shop drawings
· Create visual guidelines for construction and installation purposes.
· Draft technical details.
· Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.
· Coordination with customer to determine final dimensions, colours.
Qualifications
· Post-secondary diploma or degree in Architectural Engineering Technology.
· Experience in a manufacturing environment
· Expertise in reading and interpretation of construction documents including architectural, structural, mechanical drawings and specifications.
· Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
· Required: AutoCAD and basic computer skills with outlook, word, excel
· Proficient in Solidworks a plus
· Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s license
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
