Superheat FGH Canada is currently recruiting an Area Manager to support our field operations throughout Alberta.

Overview

The Area Manager is responsible for promoting and providing Superheat FGH services to their assigned clients in their assigned area. They will identify potential opportunities in the area and will present and deliver Superheat’s value and competitive edge to Client users. The Area Manager will provide support to and work in conjunction with all Superheat departments to ensure efficient work flow processes and that customer requirements are being met. The Area Manager is also the direct Supervision to the Assigned PM’s and Supervisors assigned to their client’s projects

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all projects meet Corporate Safety and Quality Assurance Program requirements, and that all applicable training is completed.
  • Ensure all pertinent information is captured in SmartView and reviewed regularly for accuracy and/or outstanding issues.
  • Create Sub Projects upon project award.
  • Review and assist in completing Site Operating Procedures, ensuring that all requirements are executed and completed as requested and within the established timeframe.
  • Coordinate equipment requirements for each job with Equipment Manager.
  • Responsible for management and direction of assigned Project Managers to their projects.
  • Responsible for performing or assuring Job Walks are done to support the Planning and Technical departments as required.
  • Update EP Updater any changes, requests or additional information received from customers or field technicians.
  • Review and approve solver report daily and notify Regional Administrator of any revisions or additional charges.
  • Review and approve all field time and expense entries as required.
  • Perform monthly site safety H&E audits and discuss relevant findings at tailgate meetings.
  • Assist Safety Manager & Project Managers with near miss and incident investigations.
  • Support employee performance issues with the Workforce Managers and assistance from the HR Department. Ensure the Regional Operations Manager is informed of any resulting disciplinary action or termination recommendations.
  • Must be prepared to be on call to handle job site issues remotely or on site as needed.
  • Forward all pre-qualifications and approved vendor’s list questionnaires to the Contract department for completion.
  • In conjunction with the assigned Business Development /Sales, deliver Proposal ensuring Superheat FGH value and competitive edge is communicated to client.
  • Communicate and negotiate with customers during each project to determine the progress, satisfactory execution, and any necessary alterations in job site conditions and/or work scope.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Proven Project Management and leadership experience in an industrial setting
  • Have the ability to effectively articulate our competitive edge to customers
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives
  • Experience managing multi-trades for clients or contractors within the area
  • Experience managing Job Costs and meeting margins
  • Experience managing scope and schedule changes on large projects

Educational Requirements and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years sales experience in an industrial, business to business setting
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience

Additional Information

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Extensive travel

Salary: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
