The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a temporary full-time Assistant Human Resources Advisor (from approx. January 9, 2023 to February 29, 2024) to join to our team of professionals in the Human Resources Division. Reporting to the Manager, Employment Services in this exempt position you will be a key member of our Human Resources team and your primary assignment will be with the recruitment team. You will assist managers with the recruitment and selection process for a variety of positions throughout the organization and you will work with members of the Human Resources team to coordinate various processes related to the full-cycle recruitment. You will also review, process, maintain and update various documents and systems, act as a a key resource for employees and managers in all aspects of Human Resources service delivery, and may assist with other projects or related work as required.

Your education will include a degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or a related discipline at a recognized institution, plus 2 to 3 years of full-cycle recruitment experience preferably in a municipal and/or unionized human resources environment. In past roles, you have been an integral part of a Human Resources team and you can readily demonstrate your abilities in a number of Human Resources areas. With superior customer service and strong written communication skills, you are enthusiastic, detail oriented, organized and have a thorough knowledge of human resources processes, rules, regulations, and systems/HRIS.

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must have the following valid and current certifications / licenses (must be valid at the time the posting closes) and these must be attached with your application. BC Class 5 (full-privilege) Driver’s License or equivalent driver’s license for where you reside. Copies or pictures of your driver’s license or a Driver Factor Report will not be accepted

Applicants are advised that it is a condition of employment with the Township that a successful candidate provide proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Note: proof is not required as part of the application process, however, will be required upon consideration for employment.

A competitive salary commensurate with experience is available with this Exempt position. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
