Urban Barn is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Saskatoon team in Saskatchewan.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to continue to evolve our in-store experience. With elevated exposure to the organization and the design industry, this opportunity is a launchpad for ongoing growth and development within the company. Our Assistant Store Managers earn a base salary, plus uncapped commission, and bonuses.

What You Will Do

  • Motivate your team to deliver on customer experience, obtain sales targets, meet store goals and merchandising standards. Your passion for design is matched only by your dedication to your people and their current success.
  • Champion our values and assist in the development of your team by setting expectations, keeping open lines of communication, delivering constructive feedback, and providing support.
  • Display a focused approach to operational excellence and optimize management of ‘controllables’ such as labour, inventory, and shrink.
  • Ensure ongoing training to provide a memorable service experience for every customer. Maintain high store standards by keeping our spaces beautiful, clean, stocked, organized, and merchandised.
  • Engage the team to achieve key business goals. Under the direction of the Store Manager, perform additional projects/duties/assignments as required and/or by request

What You Bring

  • Minimum 2 years experience in management required
  • Availability to work Full-time and a variety of shifts (i.e. weekdays, weeknights, and weekends)
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to coach and develop a team of top performers
  • Strong business acumen and a dedication to achieving key metrics
  • Capacity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift/move stock weighing up to 50 lbs.
