What is the opportunity?

Do you excel in a fast-paced environment? Are you detail-oriented, systems savvy and a strong communicator? As an Analyst in the Office of the COO of Investor Services, you will be a valued member of RBC’s Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS) group.

Working in a strategic function, you will be part of a team that is responsible for supporting RBC Investor Services’ (IS) global legal entity in its business management and governance strategies and initiatives. By supporting the activities undertaken by the COO Office, you will ensure the effective delivery of overall IS internal business management and governance, including initiatives that drive alignment across the various business groups, ensure due diligence and governance is maintained and adhered to, and enable operational efficiencies.

What will you do?

  • Work on the development, implementation, and tracking of business management and governance activities, initiatives and strategies for IS globally
  • Responsible for day-to-day organization and management of key governance documents and artifacts, and the primary point of contact for governance related queries
  • Coordinate and partner with functional teams such as Subsidiary Governance, Legal, Compliance, GRM, Finance, etc. to successfully manage and execute on evolving global governance developments and manage business priorities
  • Liaise with Business Management groups, and IS Business Heads as appropriate, for cross-platform initiatives
  • Support streamlining and review of the global IS committee structures, ensuring clear accountabilities through revised mandates and memberships, and enhancing reporting and monitoring
  • Responsible for the maintenance, review and updates of Power of Attorney, Delegation of Authority, Governance Framework and Policy Management Authorities documents and process, including recordkeeping, monitoring and testing
  • Support analysis and perform reporting on process optimization, automation, cost savings opportunities and other initiatives across the COO group
  • Organize, collate and validate quarterly IS Trust board material. Synthesize information to help draft required documents, pull out key messages, themes and put together a board ready view for executive review
  • Organize meetings required in order to provide CEO, IS Trust with sufficient insight
  • Perform in-depth analysis of key drivers related to business performance
  • Engage on ad-hoc special projects and prepare ad-hoc presentations for executive audiences

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Undergraduate degree in business, commerce, accounting, finance or similar
  • 2-4 years’ experience in business strategy, advisory, investment banking, corporate accounting, FP&A or similar roles
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Experience preparing materials and presentations for executive audiences
  • Experience synthesizing data from multiple sources into clear, articulate analyses and / or presentations
  • Ability to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities for multiple teams and across global time zones
