About this Opportunity

The Richmond Country Club (RCC) is recruiting an Hourly full-time/ part-time Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team and reports to the Food and Beverage Director/ Restaurant Supervisor and collaborates with the Catering Manager. You will work as a cohesive crew with the culinary team to deliver exceptional service to the membership.

What are we looking for and what can you bring to the table?

The Bartender role duties are:

  • Prepare all drink orders promptly
  • Keep all bar equipment and inventory stocked and in good condition
  • Operate and clean the bar glass washer, change beer kegs, pop and CO2 as required
  • Maintain float, handle transactions
  • Daily and monthly inventory of bar stock, maintain beverage storerooms
  • Assist in the set up of rooms when requested and work together to assist fellow staff members
  • Handle member comments, complaints and questions in a professional, polite and friendly manner
  • Ensure that cash out is neatly filled in completely, handed to your supervisor at end of shift.
  • Be able to perform all duties in the dining room and banquets including serving, when need arises, as we encourage cross-training within the team
  • Other duties may be assigned

What makes you a great fit?

  • 2 years minimum working experience as Bartender (required)
  • Preferrable environment: experience in casual fine dining
  • Must have bar product knowledge and suggest drinks when needed
  • Beer and wine knowledge is essential
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Work quickly and accurately in preparing drinks
  • An upbeat and positive attitude
  • Enjoy working with a team
  • Fantastic work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to meet work shift demands including holidays and weekends is essential

Required Licenses/ Certificates/ Skills:

  • Serving It Right
  • Completion of sommelier certification is an asset

Shift Availability:

  • Schedule: Evening shift, Night shift, Weekend shift availability needed
  • Hours of Work: 15 to 32 hours per week, flexible shifts
  • Flexibility: Flexible to work weekends and holidays
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • This position has potential to be year-round. The individual must be flexible to work weekends and holidays; and would work 40 hours/week during the peak season.

  • Ability to commute/relocate: Richmond, BC- reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

The Operations:

The RCC clubhouse features kitchen facilities, two restaurants, and an outdoor patio and dining facility.

The F&B department is comprised of two food and beverage outlets and catering for events. As a private club we provide a quintessential dining destination, with our Macans restaurant, and a relaxing, casual setting within Aces.
