Ace Rivet & Fastener is a successful, family-owned Canadian company that has been providing industry-leading customer service and premium-quality products to our customers across Canada for 35 years. Our office is based in Brampton, ON, where we manufacture rivets in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. We also import and distribute parts for many reputable fastener companies. Our customers love us (and vice versa), and they frequently use “easy to do business with” to describe us.

Currently, we are looking for a good and reliable person who is at the same time a Bilingual Inside Sales Representative and is looking for a great career opportunity and long-term employment.

You will be working from the office and enjoying the fun and goal-oriented environment. There is plenty of room to grow in this position!

This full-time position will be responsible for engaging with existing customers, prospects, and our suppliers and providing excellent customer service to them.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing quotations, communicating with current customers regarding orders, processing orders, and advising customers of any changes to orders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell other product lines.
  • Identify new opportunities on the market and set up meetings for outside sales.
  • Call active and dormant (inactive) customers (warm calling) as well as prospects that have been identified by the sales team (cold calling)
  • Identify and assess each customer’s needs. Document and review with the sales leader.
  • Maintain and keep the customer database in CRM up to date.
  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities that can move through the sales funnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, leads, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
  • Maintain inventory levels and purchase product as required.
  • Enter concise updates and organize relevant information on daily prospecting efforts.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • You have a positive attitude.
  • You have experience working as part of a team and individually.
  • You take ownership of what you do and ensure to finish it on time.
  • You are a dependable person who is great at time management.
  • You have 3-5 years of inside sales or customer service experience.
  • You can read simple technical drawings.
  • You demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • You are comfortable with calling new people every day and communicating with customers on all levels.
  • You have the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills.
  • You have above-average computer skills.
  • You are highly motivated self-driven and resilient, with a strong willingness to learn. We will train the successful candidate on our complete product line.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
  • Product or industry knowledge would be an asset but not a requirement.
  • Ability to lift 10-30 lbs is required (not often but may be needed).
  • Experience with industrial or technical products is an asset.
