Founded in 1995. Time Education Inc. provides top-quality tutoring services for all academic levels from Elementary to College and University. We also provide consultation services on academic and career planning and assist students in applications to secondary schools and post-secondary institutions. Our current four campuses are located across Greater Vancouver – with offices in Richmond, Vancouver, and South Surrey.

Our tutoring services cover a wide range of subjects including Academic English, Adult English, ESL, SAT, IELTS, TOEFL, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Science, Social Studies, Business, Computer Science, French, Spanish, and so on. We have a strong faculty that includes school teachers with valid BC provincial accreditation and university professors. Most of our teachers are bi-lingual, therefore,
students have the option for classes to be taught in Chinese and/or English. We offer both online and in-person classes in a small group or one on one setting, targeting students with different needs and learning habits.

To improve efficiency in our daily operation, our White Rock branch need a Receptionist /Administrative Assistant to support our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and oversee procedures and policies to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the daily operation of the branch
  • Ensure office procedures are followed by junior administrative staff; coordinate, review, and evaluate the performance of junior administrative staff
  • Oversee and coordinate tasks of junior administrative staff, prioritize and delegate tasks, and follow up on assigned tasks to ensure completion with accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee and coordinate the weekly scheduling of teachers to ensure the effective use of human capital in the branch
  • Review students’ progress reports prepared for parents; meet with parents periodically to discuss students’ progress and address concerns
  • Research post-secondary institution admission requirements and policies and advice students on post-secondary applications
  • Ensure the office is in current compliance with relevant policies including fire inspections; business license renewal; lease agreements etc.
  • Co-ordinate and plan for office services, such as relocations, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services
  • Set monthly sales targets and budgets; record monthly expenses; petty cash reconciliation
  • Schedule monthly meetings with other administrative staff to discuss potential or existing issues of the branch and solutions
  • Prepare monthly reports to upper management on customer satisfaction, junior staff evaluation; branch issues; expenses, etc.
  • Train junior administrative staff on job duties, office procedures, and company policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Commerce/Management/Public Administration with a minimum of 6 to 12 months of related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in the non-related major with a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related work experience
  • Familiar with BC high school and post-secondary school curriculum and system Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Resourceful and effective problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Proficient in the English language (Written and Spoken)
  • Proficient in a second language will be an asset
  • Education background in BC or North America will be a great asset
