SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Business Specialist, Operations Effectiveness supports the creation, development, utilization, prioritization and enhancement of metrics/processes within Customer Service Operations. This includes gathering of data, creation and maintaining reports, supporting the utilization of programs and reports, recommending changes, and prioritizing continuous improvement opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Customer Service Operations.
Position Details

  • Position Location: Regina or Saskatoon.
  • Non-union - This position is a permanent full time role.
  • This position is currently subject to a scope grievance, and may result in the position being within the bargaining unit (with corresponding changes to pay and benefits).
Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and monitor business performance metrics to ensure data and reporting needs of the division are being met.
  • Consult with senior management to maintain alignment of organizational strategic targets with operational reporting.
  • Foster the advancement of data reporting, analysis, and forecasting processes through Customer Service Operations.
  • Conduct analysis on business problems to identify opportunities for continuous improvement to business processes and supporting technology.
  • Support work management asset and work order structure.
  • Lead the utilization, development and advancement of data reporting and dashboards.
  • Maintain an awareness of operational processes and evolving user needs and requirements for business systems and data.
  • Maintain knowledge of external advances and industry trends and recommend strategies and opportunities ensuring Corporate objectives can be achieved in a cost-effective manner.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Science, Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Five (5) years relevant business experience in a professional setting.
  • Experience within the natural gas industry is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work on a team while building and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.
A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
