Reporting to the Procurement Manager the successful candidate will facilitate the day-to-day administration associated with inbound raw materials, spare parts, equipment, and services for our Jamestown operation. Your day-to-day activities will include managing information databases required to facilitate effective sourcing decision making, approving purchase orders and connecting with suppliers. You must thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail.

Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A post-secondary degree preferably in Business Administration, or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of purchasing experience preferred

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi task

• Experience with enterprise resource planning software, such as SAP and Oracle etc. would be an asset

• Experience working in a food production environment would be considered an asset;

• Aptitude for analytics and a strong attention to detail;

• Strong negotiation skills

  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Process approved purchase orders to ensure all site raw materials and services are received in a timely manner

• Facilitate and manage post award requirements and expectations

• Responsible for purchase order management, material expediting, coordinating Supplier Evaluations, supplier documentation and troubleshooting invoice discrepancies

• Develop strong relationships with both internal customers and critical suppliers

• Develop, challenge and improve procurement processes

• Maintain accurate and up to date price lists, catalogues and models for all areas of spend

• Assist Maintenance and Stockroom staff in inventory management projects and best practices

• Facilitate requisitioner/purchase order training
