Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated CAD Technologist for full-time employment based in Kelowna, BC office. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented group on a wide variety of different municipal projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible and able to learn quickly on the job.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Working under the direction of engineers/project managers
+ Preparing engineering drawings with the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit
+ Preparing plan and profile, grading, surface design for water, land drainage, wastewater piping, and roadways from conceptual to final design
+ Coordinating project drawings with project managers, engineers, and collaborating with other disciplines.
+ Ensuring that project needs are met in a timely and effective manner and conform to CAD standards
+ Conduct field inspections and contract administration
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
+ High school diploma + 2 years of relevant experience or Diploma/Certificate
+ Must have experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit
+ Experienced in PC use with MS office proficiency
Preferred qualifications:
+ Civil Engineering Technology diploma
+ Strong communication skills along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and working in a team environment
+ 5 years + Experience with Autocad Civil 3D and Revit
+ Site inspection and surveying experience, use of GPS survey equipment
+ Highly organized, with significant attention to detail, and able to prioritize multiple tasks/work assignments
+ Adaptable and Pro-active
