We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative Capital Project Manager to join our forward-thinking Engineering team and to make a lasting impact on our organization and community!

Committed to the guiding values of our Community Strategic Plan: Innovative Innisfil 2030, the Capital Project Manager will work in a cross-functional and customer focused environment and focus on capital works project management and will be responsible for:


  • Providing project management and technical oversight for capital infrastructure projects, including master plans and studies; needs assessments; design; utility coordination; land acquisition; approvals; tendering; construction; and post-construction project close out
  • Preparing and reviewing specifications, contracts and documents; attending site meetings and preparing reports; evaluating bids and recommending awards; reviewing and recommending approval with respect to contract changes, extra cost claims, progress payments and/or security reductions
  • Overseeing and conducting site inspections for capital infrastructure works; monitoring design and construction progress of capital projects for compliance
  • Providing direction on design and construction changes for assigned capital projects
  • Reporting on findings and results; and preparing reports and presentations and research
Job Requirements

The preferred candidate holds:


  • A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years' experience, preferably in municipal infrastructure engineering.
  • You must possess or be eligible for CET designation. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation or P.Eng designation would be an asset.
  • A valid Class “G” driver’s license in good standing is required as is a reliable vehicle to use on corporate business, and the availability to attend evening meetings or other events, if necessary.
