Ashton Construction is a growing, Canmore, AB based general contracting and construction management firm providing professional construction services to commercial and multifamily clients. Our experience includes multi-family, commercial, industrial, institutional and hospitality focused projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Need to be a self starter and motivated to work hard relatively unsupervised.
• Need to be able to run and schedule a crew of skilled and unskilled labourers as required.
• General contractor duties including rough-carpentry, heating and hoarding, back-framing, installing doors, frames and door hardware, installation of washroom accessories, finish carpentry, etc.
• Need to be able to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• Experience in completing quantity take-offs and ordering material is an asset.
• General labouring and skilled labouring if required including cleanup, rough carpentry, heating and hoarding, etc.
• Transportation to and from worksite will be required and will be provided by the candidate.
• Candidate must be willing to work outside in winter months.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Comply with safety requirements.
• Regular work hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (40 hrs/week)

Qualifications

• Applicants with commercial and multifamily construction experience are preferred.
• Applicants with ongoing 2nd, 3rd or Journeyman-ship in carpentry are preferred.
• Candidate must be able to consistently lift 50lb.
• Drivers license and clean drivers abstract is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
