We are seeking to hire experienced carpenters and carpenter apprentices for multiple positions for work on residential construction projects in the Halifax area. We focus on high-quality residential projects in the renovation and new construction building realm. We are experienced in passive home building techniques and construction.

Job Overview

Our ideal candidates are carpenters/apprentices/helpers with previous construction experience who can work with little supervision, and work alongside existing Kildare journeymen, apprentices, and helpers, to execute quality work, in a safe manner. Ideal candidates are self-starters, with a positive attitude and willingness to work as a part of an overall team, to effectively advance project tasks and milestones. We have a great crew and are looking to expand our team with more like-minded, hardworking good people who take pride in their work and are looking for a rewarding work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as carpenter is desired. Minimum 2 years carpentry experience.
• Understanding of carpentry techniques and building code requirements an asset
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills amongst fellow crew members, other subtrades, and with clients and project professionals.
• Valid Nova Scotia Drivers license.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• carpentry: 2 years (required)

Work Location: On the road
