Overview
The Human Services Department is looking for an action-oriented individual to help clients with the process of life stabilization. Our ideal candidate will possess exceptional relationship building skills, interview skills and outcome-based approach to problem solving. They will be responsible to develop an integrated system approach by optimally utilizing all the services offered by the department in partnership with community agencies to generate better outcome for the clients.
Required qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioural Sciences, Social Science, Psychology or related degree
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience with Social Services Programs or a community related agency.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills in Office 365 (working knowledge in data entry best practices, i.e., SAMS or OCCMS will be considered an asset)
  • Experience in counseling, mentoring, and coaching will be considered an asset.

This position could be in either the Ontario Works, Child Care or Housing Division. The location could be in either of our offices in Cornwall, Winchester, or Alexandria. Candidates must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
The City offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $35.36 per hour for a 35 hour work week plus a comprehensive benefits package.
