Job Posting – Cashier/Customer Service

Bow Cycle is looking for staff for our Front & Service Cash areas during our busy 2023 season. Bow Cycle offers a generous employee discount, many staff perks and the chance to be a part of Calgary’s busiest bike shop as well as a long-standing local business. Great for students as we are very busy in the spring and summer.

Full and Part-time positions available. Must have weekend availability.

What you’ll be doing:

- Engaging and directing customers when they walk in, at the desk and on the phone

- Ringing through purchases, processing work orders, booking rentals and taking payment

- Booking appointments for bike service and repairs

- Cleaning and tidying of the store and surrounding outdoor space

- Assisting management with administrative tasks

- Following up with customers on repairs, service and outstanding work orders

- Opening and Closing of the store, balancing daily cash and deposits

- Assisting customers with choosing accessories and clothing

- Creating tags and labeling product

- Talking to people about our bike related events and services

Skills you’ll need:

- Genuine desire to offer great service and a pleasant telephone manner

- Proficient cash handling and computer usage abilities

- Ability to multi-task, stay motivated and manage time wisely

- Listen to and understand information presented by others; a fast learner is a plus

- Work efficiently as a part of a team

- Punctual, committed and reliable throughout the high season

- Knowledge and strong interest of bicycles, parts and accessories is considered an asset

- A sufficient degree of physical strength to move and lift bicycles

Salary: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
