Kindersley Transport Ltd., a member of Siemens Transportation Group Inc., requires a City Driver for their Delta, BC location. The qualified driver will perform daily peddle runs to Seattle, WA with occasional city deliveries or yard work. For this reason, drivers must be able to cross border (drivers that are FAST approved are preferred).

Position is Monday to Friday 7:00pm - 1:00am

Responsibilities

  • Pickup and deliver freight in a safe and efficient manner
  • Spot trailers
  • Monitor temperature controlled loads
  • Record daily yard checks
  • Handle freight and freight documents
  • Adhere to all safety and traffic laws
  • Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Perform all other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • Class 1A licence
  • FAST Approved - Preferred
  • Valid Passport/ Must be able to cross border
  • Experience in handling freight
  • Experience in operating a forklift
  • Propane certificate
  • Demonstrate customer service abilities and attitude
  • Knowledge of city delivery routes
  • Professional appearance and good hygiene
  • Safe driving record verified by a current drivers abstract
  • Ability to perform all required duties without restriction
