Detailed Overview:

Reporting to the Coordinator or designate, the Clerk, Accounting is responsible for accounting duties such as reconciliation and analysis of various accounts such as accounts receivable, and assisting in the preparation of various financial statements and government reports for the Fraser Health Authority.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares reconciliations of designated general ledger accounts including preparing required adjusting journal entries.
  • Assists in the preparation and analysis of periodic financial statements; prepares year-end working paper and supporting schedules.
  • Prepares periodic journal entries related to non-system generated accruals, revenue and expenses.
  • Prepares and reconciles to the General Ledger periodic financial reports, revenues and payments from governments, outside agencies and patients/residents/clients of the Fraser Health Authority on designated programs and accounting transactions.
  • Prepares reconciliations of Accounts Receivable clearing accounts and prepares required adjusting journal entries and any necessary system entries to Accounts Receivable sub-ledgers.
  • Maintains Billing/Accounts Receivable to General Ledger interfaces by posting to General Ledger and preparing journal entries.
  • Reconciles the patient billing and accounts receivable systems to the general ledger and prepares required journal entries.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications: Education and Experience

Grade 12, completion of two years of the CPA program and four (4) years' recently related experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
