The Role

This role is perfect for someone who may be studying full-time. The hours are flexible. This role has to be in the office due to the confidentiality of patient data. Once onboarded, the hours are very flexible, allowing the candidate to work on weekends, in the evening, early morning etc.

Job duties

The Clinical Data Entry Clerk will perform data entry tasks as required, including but not limited to:

  • Maintenance of all internal HFC databases
  • Data extraction, data validation and data entry
  • Coordinate with clinical and lab teams
  • Ensure databases are kept up-to-date for quarterly and annual analysis
  • Ensure data entry into external BORN information system of Ontario database
  • Support up-to-date clinical and business metrics for reporting
  • Support new and ongoing research projects as required
  • Ensure the support requirements of the centre are met

Educational, Certification and Technical Requirement

  • Successful completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or other equivalent secondary school education;
  • College/University Level research or scientific background considered an asset
  • One (1) year experience in a data entry role considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Accuro EMR considered an asset

  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently with little supervision
  • High degree of discretion, confidentiality and professional demeanor required
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • High level of accuracy and detail-oriented with developed computer skills
  • Highly effective organizational skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as strong interpersonal skills
