NASS is currently hiring CNC Programmer/ Machinist for one our Client who is a leader in Auto parts Manufacturing in Brampton.

Job Title : CNC Programmer/ Machinist

Job Type : Full-Time, Permanent

Pay : $ 25 - $30 per hour

Job Responsibilities :

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and tolerances.
• Program and setup of multiple CNC 3-Axis Vertical Machining Centre.
• Set up equipment for machining of complex high precision metal parts, including setting fixtures and tooling.
• Programming, setting up and machining of NC blocks and various 3D machined parts. (Surface programing and machining).
• Carry out quality checks on an ongoing basis to ensure job is within tolerance.
• Make tool selection.
• Communicate necessary information to Assistant Supervisor and co-workers from shift to shift.
• Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy.
• Consult your Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor if you are not 100% sure of how to perform tasks in a safe manner.
• Follow all safety rules, standards and procedures at all times in all areas.
• Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce good quality products.
• Report all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous Improvements

Job Requirements :

• Must have at least 3-5 years of work experience asprogramming and setting up CNC Machining centers
• Knowledge and experience about Mastercam
• Ability to generate programs using MasterCam
• Formal training on CAD/CAM software is a requirement
• Good at Mathematical and Communication Skills
• Formal training on CAD/CAM software is a requirement
