Located in Schomberg, Ontario, our client has been serving customers in the aerospace, plastic injection molding, medical, nuclear, defence and electronic industries since 1971.

Avery Human Resources is seeking a CNC Set-up Operator Milling (P4) on their behalf.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various machinery including Hermle, Mori Seiki, and/or Haas machines, together with trouble shooting a wide variety of materials.

Wage: $21 - $28 per hour, based on experience

Hours: Days - Monday to Thursday – 7am to 4:30pm; Friday - 7am to 3:30pm

Afternoon – Mon to Thursday – 4:15pm to 3:30am; Friday - 3:30-2:00am

Job Requirements:

• Skilled operator of 3-axis and 5-axis CNC Machining Centres (Fanuc controls/ Heidenhain) .
• Ability to perform complete set-ups with simple CNC programming/editing.
• Thorough understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings and use of precision measuring instruments.
• Demonstrates a high level of mechanical aptitude and skill when manual handling machine parts.
• Knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Trouble shooting abilities for work with a wide variety of materials.
• Log all work timelines and tasks in Epicor.
• Must be quality oriented with a strong attention to detail.
• Maintain positive working relationship when interacting with other plant personnel.
• Adheres to and maintains safe work practices, including WHMIS 2015 requirements.
• Adept at reading/understanding Production Sheets for completion of accurate parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts.

This role requires fluency in English (read, write and speak) with 3-5 years Precision Machining Shop experience. CNC Certification preferred.
