Pod Facilitators at BACI contribute to designing, delivering and evaluating the support provided in small group or pod settings. Pod Facilitators work with people supported and their networks to develop natural support networks, and foster self-confidence to achieve personal development in all area of people’s lives. They work closely with managers to assist in providing orientations, training, coaching, work direction and guidance to Community Support workers who work alongside them in pods.

Position: Regular FT Pod-Facilitator

Location: Community Based

Salary: Step 1: $24.48 Step 2: $25.69 Step 3: $27.09 Step 4: $28.52

Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Schedule: Monday-Friday as per schedule

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

This role requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish positive relationships with stakeholders such as persons served, networks, and the broader community. Pod Facilitators are non-judgmental, respectful and empathetic. This role requires comfort with facilitating group dynamics and meetings amongst pod members. This role requires good organization and time management skills. Creativity, collaboration, adaptability and problem-solving are essential. This role must be able to support others to vision, dream, and embrace the philosophies of person-centred practises and be willing to test new opportunities while applying critical and reflective thinking. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and/or weekends and evening. Working knowledge of computers and the ability to support others to engage with technology required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Diploma in Human Services/ Social Services/ Community Development from an accredited College or University is required. In addition, two years’ recent related experience in community involvement and development or a related field. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with a developmental disability OR an equivalent of additional education and experience may be considered. First Aid, CPR, TB test clearance and a valid unrestricted Class 5 BC Driver’s license required. Use of personal vehicle required. A job requirement for this position is complete and up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination.
