Connectivity Team Lead (Temporary, 12 months) Job at BRP
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
Connectivity is a concept that touches on both digital, notably with the creation of mobile applications, and the interweaving of the digital experience with BRP's recreational vehicles and the intelligent use of recorded data. We need to bring new value-added concepts to our customers, dealers and internal teams. Your role will be to enrich the customer experience through innovation around connectivity.
As a team leader at Connectivity, reporting to Connectivity’s department head, you will head the “smart vehicle” section for the BRP-GO! mobile app. You will be responsible for project delivery as well as making sure that projects align strategically with the company’s goals. In addition to guiding multidisciplinary teams, you will be in charge of a team of project managers.
You'll be focused on enhancing the customer experience through connected digital innovations.
Lead a mobile development team for smart products according to the company’s standards and processes.
Define long- and short-term visions, strategies and goals collaboratively with CX strategy and project managers.
Manage budgets, resources and schedules in collaboration with the project manager.
Supervise the entire product development process, from the design stage to production launch.
Coordinate and green-light work done by a multidisciplinary team associated with project delivery.
Lead and encourage the team in identifying and solving difficult problems.
Make decisions about guidelines in order to lead the team.
Represent the team in strategic governance.
THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in digital product management, including 2 years of team management.
A bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on digital, marketing, communication or a related field.
Relevant experience in managing digital product development, ideally with a specific area of expertise in mobile app development and or IoT.
The ability to lead a multidisciplinary team (PO, developers, designers, etc.), encourage collaboration and motivate the team.
Communication and presentation skills to be able to work efficiently with internal and external stakeholders.
Analysis and problem-solving skills to be able to identify technical and strategic challenges and respond to them in a proactive manner.
Solid leadership and management expertise to assure deadlines, budget and quality are maintained all while motivating and developing the team.
Experience in iterative software development and agile principles.
Experience in automotive connectivity, as well as knowledge of the development stages of a connected product and its stakeholders would be a major asset.
A results-oriented approach and ability to get things done.
Fluency in both written and spoken French and English is essential.
The ability to effectively manage multiple projects at once.
The ability to build trust with key stakeholders.
