Our Telecommunications team is looking for a competent, dedicated gravel truck driver with laborer experience, to support the delivery of quality fiber to the home services to our new customers in Red Deer, AB.

Shift Information:

  • Up to 12 hour working day
  • 11 days on 3 days off rotation for the summer season and 5 days on 2 days off the winter season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver aggregate to the site and haul out material as required.
  • Load, secure, and deliver various equipment to and from the site.
  • Observe proper load securement, hours of service, pre-trip requirements, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Use of hand tools as required.
  • Move and carry construction materials and supplies that may weigh in excess of 30 kg.
  • Occasional truck prep for asphalt hauling.
  • Work outdoors in various elements.
  • Communicate with team members on preparation and project coordination.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience operating a gravel truck, 5 years of commercial driving experience, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a telecom environment.
  • Requires a valid Class 3 or Class 1 License.
  • Reliable vehicle and clean driver's abstract.
  • Safety conscious and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task and think outside the box.
  • Understanding of equipment, maintenance, and in-field troubleshooting.
