About the Team & Business Line:

As a core member of our Custody Services team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

Your Role:

As a Custody Associate, you will work towards the smooth running of the custody team to achieve high standards of productivity, quality and morale within the department. If assigned to one of the client teams, the custody associate’s job will require them to work closely in four key areas: Corporate Actions, Reconciliations, Settlements and Pricing, and Data Gathering.

  • You will process outgoing payments for fund activity, execute trades and transfer settlements.
  • Process corporate action share and cash events promptly and accurately
  • Identify reconciliation breaks and instruct the proper department on the corrective action to be taken
  • Validate the statements and prices relating to external positions, and rectify any resulting errors
  • Process incoming transfer requests from clients and respond to all related internal and client-related queries
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing, as and when required, and liaise with Business/QA Analyst
  • Assist and support supervisors on new fund setups and migrations across existing and new clients
  • Ensure that EOD checks are completed on a daily basis
  • Control and authorize all processing work completed on our custody systems including, but not limited to, share and cash bookings, client trades, pending prices, and contract note matching


About You:

  • You have a University degree or College diploma.
  • Must have 1-3 years’ experience within the financial services industry ideally in operations/back office environment
  • Assets:
  • A good understanding of Financial Markets/Funds Business
  • Previous custody/transfer agency experience working with another administrator
  • Key Competencies:
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong planning and time management/prioritization skills
  • Sound judgment and quick thinking must be exercised to ensure risk reduction associated with trade processing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and also to liaise with other Citco departments
