We are currently seeking a Customer Care Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills and a proven record of providing exceptional support to clients in need. The successful candidate for this position will be on the front lines of our business, and the role includes problem-solving, prioritization, organization, and communications. You are great with people – in person, on the phone, and online. You are a team player and can effectively complete multiple tasks throughout the day.

Tree World Plant Care Products is located in Sechelt, BC. We manufacture and market Plantskydd Animal Repellents, the most trusted, cost-effective, and environmentally safe animal repellents available. We provide plant protection solutions to customers online and via thousands of dealers in the USA and Canada. Our small, dedicated team works collaboratively to offer exceptional customer experiences in all aspects of our business.

This is a 1-year, full-time position – parental leave coverage, with the distinct possibility of extending into full-time.

Responsibilities and duties

Customer service & outreach

  • Provide support to our community of customers, including gardeners, landscapers, foresters, farmers, conservationists, horticulture influencers and garden retailers.
  • Gather input to build our dealer network.
  • Support your supervisor with social media strategy, posting, monitoring, and compelling storytelling
  • Reach out to garden clubs, organizations and master gardeners with information, samples.
  • Support market research projects.
  • Track and report customer feedback.

Operations

  • Process daily orders from USA and Canada and fulfill Canadian orders.
  • Track Sechelt product inventory.
  • Procure office supplies.
  • Support data entry and report on trends.
  • Administrative support for inventory, marketing, and production requirements.
  • Correspond with vendors / suppliers, as needed.

Other activities, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Skilled communicator on the phone and in person.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Fundamental computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Working knowledge of email and social media networking.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Ability to overcome barriers to resolve issues.
  • Familiarity with Word Press and customer-relationship management tools an asset, but not essential.

Compensation

The Customer Care Representative is a fulltime position, working 8 AM to 4 PM Monday to Friday ($21.50 per hour). This position is office-based with some flexibility to work from home 1 day per week at certain times of the year. This role includes a Health Benefits Plan and non-sales commission, following the three month probationary period. Should the role extend past 1 year, you would be eligible to participate in an extensive benefits program, including Tree World’s Employee Profit Sharing Plan after 24 months of employment.
