Red Dog Blue Kat (RDBK) is a North American leader in fresh, frozen raw pet food products. Based out of our Port Coquitlam, BC location, we have been providing class leading pet food to ensure your pet lives a longer and healthier life.

Our company is looking for a customer-service-oriented professional to join our Sales and Marketing Team. The Customer Service Representative’s primary purpose is to support our philosophy of being a supplier of choice. This will be accomplished by providing industry leading customer and merchandising support in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The role also supports the Marketing team through retail and consumer initiatives, brand development tools, end-consumer communication and engagement.

Key duties include

  • Retail Customer Relations: Establish, develop and maintain positive retail customer relationships through regular in-person, online and phone touchpoints.
  • Merchandizing Support: Support retail partners with regular in-person visits through retail merchandizing training.
  • Inventory Support: Support retail partners by restocking freezers, facing product and assisting in placing orders through Shopify.
  • Retail Support and Problem Solving: Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction. Ensure stores have current information including price lists, product information, freight rates, and delivery schedules. Keep customers informed about current programs, training, and other resources available to support them.
  • Customer and Sales Data: Ensure customer information is up to date in all systems including HubSpot and Shopify. Generate customer sales reports and review with sales team.
  • Consumer Service: Answer calls and emails from consumers regarding company and product information, transitioning to raw, and directing them to our educational resources.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • High school diploma orequivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum three years of work experience in customer service, sales, retail training or related field is required.
  • Experience in the pet industry and/or health industry preferred.
  • Must have own vehicle, the role requires travel regularly around BC with occasional visits to Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba (mileage is reimbursed per CRA guidelines)
  • Social Media and Marketing background a bonus

Physical demands:

  • Handle cold products with proper PPE.
  • Work inside cold spaces (freezer)
  • Lift boxes up to 30 lbs (for assisting with freezer merchandizing).
  • Sitting for extended driving periods
  • General office demands such as typing (while in office)

Working Environment:

  • Hybrid (home, office) – 1-2 days per week
  • Traveling to customer accounts 3+ days per week

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
