EYC is always seeking candidates who can exhibit leadership skills. The candidate chosen will be a part of a supervisory team, leading a program along side one of our experienced supervisors. We are seeking an individual who can be available to begin their training immediately. We require an individual with group home experience and a very good understanding of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act. We are seeking Candidates to work in our homes located in Carleton Place, Stittsville, Carp and Almonte.

Evolving Youth Care Inc. has been providing a full spectrum of services to children and youth since 1998. Our homes are located throughout Ottawa and the surrounding areas, serving children and youth ages 12-17.

We are currently looking for a supervisor that has experience working in group care settings. The applicant must present strong leadership skills and have experience leading a staff team. The Supervisor will work Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday Days. However we ask that flexibility be provided as there may be a need to offer additional training to your team on an evening or a weekend. We would expect that as a supervisor you can identify when that need is there and implementing a support plan for your team.

The supervisor is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the stability of the program. The supervisor oversees operations, staff training, menus, standards, reporting and ensuring a safe work environment. The Supervisor will ensure the program adheres to the licensing requirements. We are looking for someone who is committed to positively impacting both the youth we support as well as your staff team.

Key Components of this position include:

Assist with implementing and following policies and procedures
Obtain information and prepare necessary documents and reports
Assist with completing all necessary documents and reports as per ministry legislation
Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs
Provide suicide and crisis intervention
Resolve conflict situations
Supervise activities of clients living in group homes
Implement behaviour management programs
Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
Train and support new hires
On-call 1 weekend per on-call rotation

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
