Position Description

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full time, permanent Data Analyst to work in the Data Systems department in the Provincial System Support Program. The Data Systems portfolio supports stakeholders across Ontario, through the development and maintenance of relationships, knowledge of service delivery complexities in MHA and Harm Reduction sectors and the provision of provincial products. This includes products and applications for Addictions, Harm Reduction, Ontario Structured Psychotherapy, CBI, Staged Screening and Assessment and Ontario Perception of Care. This portfolio will continue to expand as Ontario Health’s MHA CoE, CAMH, and PSSP initiate new programs. This position is located outside of the GTA and is affiliated with CAMH regional offices (London, Hamilton, Kingston, Ottawa, Thunder Bay, Sudbury).

The Data Analyst plays a key role in the maintenance and dissemination of the data included in the data repositories by:

  • Collaborating with team members to design, build, test and release reports and analytics for the various product-specific data repositories
  • Ensuring data quality of all data collected and stored in the various product-specific data repositories
  • Working with team members to ensure data sets and metrics are relevant to stakeholders’ needs
  • Fulfilling custom data requests
  • Responding to data and report-related service requests from application users and stakeholders via our service desk hub

Qualifications

All skills listed below are required unless otherwise stated as an asset.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or related field plus three (3) years of experience with healthcare clinical systems
  • Extensive experience in collaborating with internal/external stakeholders and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in the Community Addictions and Mental Health and/or Harm Reduction Sector with data systems
  • Experience in report building using SAP’s Business Objects
  • Experience with Tableau strongly considered an asset
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with data quality processes and practices
  • Significant experience with application and report testing and QA
  • Proven strong analytical and problem solving skills is required
  • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with aggressive project timeframes
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team of technically-oriented individuals
  • Ability to independently conduct and practically apply research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, products as required
  • Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset

Please Note: This full-time, permanent position is NOT part of any bargaining unit.
