Summary:

At Trajekt, we build ultra-high-end baseball pitching replication robots and sell them directly to MLB teams.. This technology has been featured in TechCrunch, The Athletic and Yahoo Sports.

We are seeking experienced and dedicated contractors and full-time professionals to join our team and work on exciting projects in the areas of mechatronics engineering, data science, image processing, and web development.

Responsibilities:

You'll work with an elite team to brainstorm, design, and implement complex and novel engineering solutions to help some of the world's highest-paid athletes improve their game. Throughout feature development, you'll balance your engineering skills with business requirements, client expectations, and the team's internal resources.

Example Projects:
Develop new control models for the Trajekt Arc to allow it to more accurately reproduce MLB pitchesLeverage image processing, physics, and machine learning to build and evaluate new control models, and then test them on the robot live
Make strides in improving output ball orientation control or plate location accuracy, and then hit an apple off of a tee with a 100mph fastball

Develop data pipeline for pitched ball / batted ball interactions the first-ever closed-loop batting practice tool, the Trajekt Arc can replicate pitches for training, analyze your batting results, and make adjustments to your practice
Help us develop the required data pipelines, analysis tools, and user interfaces to optimize this high-value use case

Required Skills:
Experience leading complex, multi-faceted product design and implementation
Strong math and physics fundamentals
Strong statistics, data structures, and algorithms fundamentals
Ability to demonstrate skills and initiative through past projects or past work
Good communication and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
Love of prototyping and building engineering systems
Fluency in Python, MongoDB, and TypeScript
Experience with building machine-learning systems

Bonus Skills:
Experience developing computer vision applications using OpenCV

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $67,599.09-$136,671.17 per year
