Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Demo Customer Service Clerk to join our Grocery team on a part-time basis at our location in Vermilion, AB. Reporting to the Assistant Food Store Manager.

What you’ll do:

• Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences
• Provide product samples, coupons. informational brochures, or other incentives to customers
• Assist in creating demo meal plans
• Sell products being promoted and keep record of sales
• Operate till (Point of Sale System), processing customer transactions. (Will train if needed)
• Stocking shelves with inventory
• Resolve customer issues and answers questions.
• Process return transactions.
• Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
• Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences
• Follow proper maintenance and housekeeping duties
• Utilize proper safety protocols
• Able to work a variety of shifts – including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis
• Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

• You have a grade 12 or combination of relevant experience; previous retail experience would be an asset
• You’re able to lift 50lb on a regular basis
• You’re action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members
• You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
