Job title: Deskside Support Engineer
Location: Alberta, Canada (Day 1 Onsite)
Brief Job Description:
Assist with networking technologies, server monitoring & troubleshooting, UPS management, vendor management, asset inventory management.
Must Have -
1. Knowledge of network equipment, routing, switching, wireless networking; console access, capacity, availability, failure rates, network performance management, WAN circuit monitoring,
2. Knowledge to check heat-maps and operations plans for campus networks
3. Knowledge of technologies such as: Cisco / Juniper HSRP/VRRP, VRF, VPC, VC, LACP, Fabric Path, Routing Protocols/Technologies such BGP, OSPF, Logical Overlay, IOS-XR, Multicast, MPLS, SIP, IP, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewalls
4. Knowledge to perform TCP/IP Network traces/packet captures and analyze packet captured using NetScout, Wireshark and other related technologies
5. Knowledge with various server systems (LINUX,UNIX), operating systems, and diverse technical environment.
6. Service delivery with a strong technical orientation & creative in problem solving to resolve critical business issues
7. Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams on desktop/laptop software install requirements.
8. Knowledge in desktop engineering and/or desktop hardware and software configuration troubleshooting for Intel and iOS based systems
9. Provide tier-2 operational support to resolve critical business issues that require deep network troubleshooting techniques and performance analysis
10. Advanced analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: $17.19-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay

- Lethbridge, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
