About this Role

Are you ready to trade in your mop and bucket for a pair of rubber gloves and a high-pressure hose? Under the direction of the Executive Chef and the supervision of our Culinary Management Team, our Stewards are some of the most important people in our kitchen. As a Steward in our culinary department, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and keep our kitchen running like a well-oiled machine. We’re looking for someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and take on the challenge of tackling mountains of dirty dishes. You’ll be working with a team of culinary wizards and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, so that our chefs can focus on creating dishes that will leave our guests’ taste buds singing. If you’ve got a sense of humor, a “can-do” attitude, and a love for scrubbing pots and pans, then we want you on our team. Apply now and lets see what kind of suds-tastic dishes you can create

What you’ll get to DO!

  • Organizing, rinsing, spraying and loading dishes/cutlery into dishwasher or washing by hand as required
  • Checking completed load for cleanliness and re-washing if necessary
  • Reporting any malfunctions, breakage or discrepancies to the supervisor
  • Storing all clean items in the appropriate area
  • Sorting and removing garbage and recycling
  • Cleaning all general kitchen areas including floors, counters and workspaces
  • Assisting with the receipt of goods into the work area and stocking shelves
  • Preparing some food products as requested
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

What you’ll need to be Successful!

  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including, days, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
  • A passion for providing Great Experiences and Memories to our internal and external guests in the continual quest of achieving service excellence
