About Us:

TST-CF express is a division of TFI International Inc., located in Kingston, is currently recruiting for a Dispatch Supervisor.

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, this position is responsible for the planning, dispatching and managing of Local P&D operations. The candidate will have industry experience, preferably within a unionized environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations in the Linehaul Dispatch Department as well as assist with P&D dispatch duties.
• Planning and forecasting of Dock Workers and Drivers
• Resolve customer concerns in an efficient manner while reducing any service delays
• Review operational efficiencies and effect change as necessary in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and cost efficiencies.
• Recommend, implement and maintain performance and productivity measurements
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers in order to resolve service issues in a timely manner and providing customers with status updates.
• Schedule repairs and maintenance for equipment.
• Ensure Drivers follow Company Safety Policies and Procedures for example: HOS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, etc
• Completion of daily reports, payroll data entry in UKG
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a transportation dispatch environment
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Customer service oriented
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
• Professional verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual in French is an asset)
• Computer literate with sound knowledge of Gmail and Excel
• Ability to work flexible hours afternoons, evenings as necessary
• High School or equivalent
• Ministry of Transportation regulations
• Knowledge of Transportation Operating Systems.
