Summary of the Position

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Dispense System Designer will develop custom gravimetric dispense system solutions. The primary output of this effort will be a complete 3D model of the system, 2D drawings, bill of material and any associated diagrams or specifications required to manufacture and service the system, utilizing the corporate tools and applications such as CAD and ERP. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and quality of the output is key to continued success in this position.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

· Utilizing 3D and 2D CAD, develop dispense system proposals, general assemblies, manufacturing models and associated drawings as required to fully specify the design.

· Develop system bills of materials and associated cost model using the company’s ERP system.

· Perform the required calculations and analysis to ensure the performance of the dispense system in regard to product flow rates, system productivity and operation, integration with related systems and processes, and chemical & materials of construction compatibility.

· Work directly with manufacturing (internal and external) and purchasing personnel to ensure a high level of manufacturability and cost effectiveness of control system designs as well ensure a high level of integrity of the design itself and the associated documentation.

· Inspection, testing and trouble shooting of dispense systems.

· Interact with customers and end users for the purpose of deriving technical specifications and functional requirements of dispensing systems.

· Support sales initiatives through providing technical specifications, cost estimates, proposals, and systems application expertise.

· Actively and positively contribute to the development of new or revised corporate business processes.

Essential Skills & Education

· Minimum 3-year college level diploma in Electromechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent.

· Adept in the creation of parametric mechanical designs, parts, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings, in a 3D CAD package.

· Adept in the use of the full suite of Microsoft Office applications.

· Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English.

Beneficial Additional Skills & Experience

· Working knowledge and experience with PTC CREO 3D CAD software.

· Experience with Autocad 2D CAD software or similar.

· Mechanical aptitude and functional design skills.

· Working knowledge of software programming and methodologies.

Experience working with and supporting a manufacturing environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
