For the past 85 years, Kawartha Dairy has been proud to be a 100% Canadian-owned company, still operated by the same family that founded it in 1937. Although the company has grown tremendously from its early days, it remains headquartered in the lakeside community of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, where it was founded, near Peterborough, an hour north of the GTA.


Today Kawartha Dairy operates 10 retail stores and services a wide range of customers, from grocery stores to foodservice establishments and of course, ice cream parlours. The company also provides custom dairy ingredients to other food companies using Kawartha Dairy’s long history of dairy expertise.


Reflecting the explosive growth in the brand and the business as a whole, Kawartha Dairy has recently constructed a 54,000-square-foot warehouse just south of Bobcaygeon to serve its provincial operations. Investments are also underway to modernize the production plant, our systems and our infrastructure.


Not only a part of our strong Kawartha Dairy Delivery Team, but you are also working closely with our Shipping and Warehouse Teams. You will spend your day shunting from our Plant to our Distribution Centre here in Bobcaygeon, Ontario so the quality of our top-notch dairy products is continuous from Plant to DC to our loyal customers; creating memories for families all while leaving you the ability to come home at the end of your shift.

What You’ll Do:

  • Backing up the truck to bay door or loading dock and removing once loaded
  • Complete truck inspections and various checklists throughout the shift
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs to supervisor via truck inspection reports
  • Moving equipment between various Kawartha Dairy locations
  • Identify vehicles that require cleaning and carry out truck washing as required
  • Refueling of vehicles and logging mileage information once vehicles are returned
  • Start and end each day in Bobcaygeon, Ontario!

What you Need to Get the Job Done:

  • High school education or GED preferred, or a combination of education and experience
  • Minimum one year AZ of verifiable driving experience, within a yard or on the road
  • Valid AZ license
  • Equipped to couple and uncouple multiple trucks and trailers during shift
  • Must have a clean driver abstract
  • Must be in good physical condition and enjoy manual work; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
  • Meet the physical requirements of the position
  • Flexibility to work extended days to ensure products are delivered and work some Saturdays and holidays as applicable
  • Ability to safely deliver in all seasonal weather conditions
