Mission
The Earthworks Coordinator works closely with the project team to coordinate the project to the satisfaction of the client, consistent with the costs, schedule, and contractual requirements. Will be responsible for coordination of all production requirements related to earthworks, including but not limited to safety, quality, administration, scheduling, cost controls, client/ subcontractor/ craft communication and management. Heavy civil earthworks or LRT experience is required.
Profile
- Heavy civil construction experience, preferably in LRT or similar public infrastructure projects
- Completed post secondary degree or diploma in construction-related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with earthworks and heavy machinery an asset
- Valid operator's license on earth moving equipment an asset
- Valid Class 5 license
- Proven leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills within a multi-deadline multi-discipline project
- Computer proficiency including MS Office, Primavera, SharePoint, JDEdwards
- Ability to work in field or office as required
- Highly motivated, able to complete assignments with minimal direct supervision
- Knowledge of standard health, safety, and environmental requirements and practices in the construction industry
- Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet the time demands of unpredictable activities.

- Effective and efficient problem solving and decision making skills, thoughtful, proactive and creative
- Demonstrated sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals
