General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Electrical Design Engineer for North America Hub Engineering Development function. This role will be located at Quebec City QC, CA. You will be offered a platform for learning the Engineering design process end to end, with the goal of supporting the manufacturing facility. This job role provides deep, experiential learning opportunities within different engineering elements like customized vs. standardized design aspect, design to value, product cost optimization and many more. Along the way, we'll provide you continuous career support with development of curriculum and coaching.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn & Design the electrical arrangement of transformers according to the rules of the art and the applicable standards;
  • Take ownership of and complete engaging projects within the assignment timeframe and engage with supervisors and mentors to develop your technical and leadership skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University.
  • Intern and Co-op experience will be a plus.
  • Bilingualism (oral and written, French and English).
  • AutoCAD or Creo software knowledge will be plus.
  • Interest in the renewable energy, power sector and/or manufacturing sectors
  • Self-starter that seeks knowledge outside of the classroom
  • Personal skills in communication, dynamics, teamwork and leadership
