NexSource Power, Drayton Valley Branch, is looking for a hands-on, growth minded Electrical Manager with a ‘go getter’, change ready attitude. The successful candidate will be a knowledge leader in the Electrical field, be passionate about growth, and not afraid to have boots on the ground and tools in hand. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform Electrical field work; manage day to day projects; take call outs
  • Work with management to prepare Electrical quotes/estimates and project proposals
  • Ensure project documentation, including approval of drawings, timely and effective billing, change orders, and accurate project reporting is up to date and available
  • Schedule manpower, equipment and material for projects
  • Attend site meetings, monitor projects, control costs, and take corrective action when necessary
  • Lead pre-planning activities for projects, ensure project plan is successfully implemented, and expectations/outcomes are achieved
  • Manage project QA/QC and guide field staff in document execution
  • Provide leadership and build positive relationships with staff; lead by example
  • Train apprentices and ensure all safety codes and work practices are followed
  • Ensure quality of workmanship; mentor and guide when areas for improvement are identified
  • Learn and understand the Instrumentation side of the business to build continuity of services
  • Grow Electrical side of business through quality of work, professional communication and customer service, stellar leadership; promote business through sales calls and direct customer relationships
  • Support Area Manager as required
  • Other duties as required

Requirements, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years as a Journeyman Electrician in Oil & Gas
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing/supervising construction and maintenance projects, with direct worker reports
  • Excellent management and people skills; mentorship of apprentices
  • Accurate and cost effective estimating and quoting ; cost effective procurement
  • Industry required safety tickets including: First Aid/CPR, H2S, CSTS, CSO; LSE an asset
  • Firm understanding of industry OH&S and company specific HSE guidelines
  • Customer first attitude with a very positive attitude
  • Ability and willingness; be flexible and adaptable
  • Strong organizational abilities and demonstrated attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills, specifically the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Proficient with Microsoft computer programs
  • Valid Driver’s License and company approved 5 year Driver’s Abstract

Salary: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
