Below are some area’s employees can specialize in:

911 Calltaker

· Answers 911 calls for the province of Saskatchewan excluding Saskatoon and Regina City limits.

· Gathers pertinent information to determine nature of emergency

· Transfers caller to police, fire or ambulance.

Enforcement Dispatcher

· Responsible for monitoring and tracking officer activities

· Runs queries, and provides resources and support to officers and public as needed.

· Answers calls from the public, gathers information and dispatches officers and necessary resources.

Fire Dispatcher

· Processes fire calls and dispatches fire department

· Monitors fire departments and completes regular status updates

· Dispatches resources as necessary

Police Dispatcher

· Answers and processes emergency and non emergency calls from the public

· Dispatches and monitors police officers

· Runs queries, and provides resources and support to officers and public as needed.

Conditions of Employment

· Legally entitled to work in Canada

· Mandatory typing speed of 35wpm

· Ability to work a rotating shift schedule consisting of 12 hour shifts both days and nights, including holidays and weekends
