DMC is building a new multi-disciplinary consulting engineering team in Thunder Bay, ON to complement our existing EPC engineering capabilities! This is an opportunity to work both internally with DMC’s EPC engineering team on mining shaft sinking and development projects and externally offering traditional consulting engineering services to our clients located anywhere from Northern Ontario to across the globe. The immediate need is to complete the greenfield engineering design and construction of the KGHM Victoria project in Sudbury. This fully funded and technically exciting and challenging project includes the engineering design and construction of a 6.7m dia x 1860m deep ventilation shaft, a 7.6m dia x 2000m deep production shaft, associated collar and hoist houses and headframes. Underground development includes 5 drifts with maintenance and fueling shops, compressed air, process water, mine dewatering, and electrical lighting, power and communication distribution. Additional surface facilities include compressor buildings, maintenance and warehouse shops, office complex and dry. Civil works include access roads, parking and laydown areas, site wide water management ponds and pumping.
